IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY
To
provide the best possible care for
our patients in the event of an
emergency, one of our physicians is
on call at all times. If you have a
cardiac emergency, immediately call
our main office at (704) 856-6100.
Be prepared to explain the nature of
your problem. One of the Heart
Group nurses will speak with you at
that time or quickly return your
phone call. Our nurses are trained
by the cardiologists to rapidly
assess individual patient problems
and facilitate the best plan of care
provided by your individual Heart
Group doctor. If you feel the
situation is life-threatening or
needs immediate attention, go
directly to the emergency room at
Carolinas Medical Center - NorthEast and
ask for
a
Heart
Group of the Carolinas
physician.
FEES, INSURANCE & PAYMENT POLICY
If you
are visiting our office for the
first time, please bring all
necessary information regarding your
insurance and any medication you are
currently taking. We will be glad
to file your insurance or help you
properly submit your claims.
However, patients are required to
pay insurance deductibles or
copayments at the time of an office
visit, or when services and related
tests are rendered. Please remember
that payment of medical services is
your obligation and the agreement
with your insurance company to pay
for medical services is a contract
between you and that company.
Lab
testing and other diagnostic
services provided during your visit
at the Cannon Heart Center are
offered in part by Northeast Medical
Center Outpatient Cardiology
Services. For these services,
please be aware that you and your
insurance company will receive
billing information from both
Carolinas Medical Center - NorthEast
and
Heart Group of the Carolinas.
Our
practice participates in many
insurance plans, Health Maintenance
Organizations (HMOs) and Preferred
Provider Organizations (PPOs). We
also accept Medicare, Medicaid, and
Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Please feel
free to ask our billing office
personnel about your particular
insurance company.
